Position Overview :-
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee maintenance operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of plant equipment, supporting production efficiency, maintaining regulatory compliance, and leading engineering and maintenance teams.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in food manufacturing environments, particularly with bread, batter, and fryer processing systems, along with knowledge of refrigeration and wastewater systems. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Facility Operations
Oversee the daily maintenance operations of the manufacturing facility to ensure optimal
performance of equipment and production systems.
Develop and improve plant processing line layouts to support operational changes, expansions,
and efficiency improvements.
Coordinate the planning, design, and construction of plant additions or facility modifications.
Ensure timely resolution of equipment failures and operational issues to minimize downtime.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure all safety standards, policies, and procedures are implemented and maintained across
the facility.
Maintain full compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety guidelines.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and manage Engineering and Maintenance Department personnel.
Ensure team members have the training, tools, and resources necessary to maintain equipment
and facility operations effectively.
Provide guidance and direction to direct reports while fostering collaboration with other
departments.
Project & Budget Management
Develop and oversee the implementation of capital and expense budget projects.
Manage maintenance-related capital improvement initiatives and equipment upgrades.
Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed efficiently
and within scope.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with operations, production, and senior leadership to support facility goals and
operational priorities.
Communicate operational issues and solutions clearly with senior management.
Ensure maintenance activities align with production schedules and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, or a related
field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years of management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with bread, batter, and fryer processing equipment.
Experience with industrial refrigeration and wastewater systems.
Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve operational issues.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with CAD systems and engineering design concepts.
Experience working with PLC-based equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
Knowledge of industrial refrigeration principles and applications.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels
of the organization.
